 njoyed all season. Says Picone\, 'My series called “Gone\, But Still Beaut
 iful“ is different from the usual  flower images we see\, this series give
 s an up close view of the natural beauty found in some plants after winter
  has taken their last bit of life\; interesting geometric shapes\, pattern
 s\, and textures of the leaves\, seeds and seed pods. Some photographs wer
 e taken in-situ\, while others were photographed in my studio under artifi
 cial lighting.I have converted these images to black and white because I b
 elieve this gives each image a stronger tonal value over the browns\, yell
 ows\, and even the blacks that we would normally see in a color image' Ope
 ning reception is free and open to the public with refreshments provided b
 y The Cottage Bakery\, located at The Artist's Palette in Norwich\, NY.
