X-WR-CALDESC:This year’s series\, Siren Songs\, celebrates the arts and wom
en’s contributions to the arts\, as well their voices in our communities\,
marking the centennial of women’s suffrage in New York State\, three year
s ahead of the rest of our nation. After a century of progress and change\
, the impact and power of women’s voices in our communities remain a vital
contribution to our cultural experience. The five concerts are planned fo
r Thursday evenings at 7 PM starting 7/13 and ending 8/10. Carolyn Kelly B
lues Band continues the series August 3rd. A natural vocal talent\, Kelly’
s emotive deliveries carry an audience on a roller coaster ride of emotion
s form lust to scorn and everywhere in between. With a natural stage prese
nce\, Kelly embraces and involves the audience\, on a very personal level\
, at every one of her performances. Performances begin at 7 PM and will ta
ke place at the bandstand on the Village Green in the center of Hamilton w
ith a rain location at the nearby Colgate Inn on the north end of the Vill
age Green. Both locations are wheelchair accessible. Hamilton Arts in the
Park is presented by the Village of Hamilton and co-presented by the Earlv
ille Opera House. The Village of Hamilton is grateful for funds from the D
ecentralization Program\, a regrant program of the New York State Council
on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York Sta
te Legislature and administered by CNY Arts. For more in depth information
