  women’s contributions to the arts\, as well their voices in our communiti
 es\, marking the centennial of women’s suffrage in New York State\, three 
 years ahead of the rest of our nation. After a century of progress and cha
 nge\, the impact and power of women’s voices in our communities remain a v
 ital contribution to our cultural experience. The five concerts are planne
 d for Thursday evenings at 7 PM starting 7/13 and ending 8/10. The next ev
 ent in our series is Opus Black on July 20th. The Opus Black String Quarte
 t is an alternative string ensemble with a penchant for the unorthodox. Bu
 ilt on a common foundation of classical training\, their backgrounds are a
 s diverse as their repertoire. Their mission is to educate\, inspire creat
 ivity and share their love of music through alternative performance. Perfo
 rmances begin at 7 PM and will take place at the bandstand on the Village 
 Green in the center of Hamilton with a rain location at the nearby Colgate
  Inn on the north end of the Village Green. Both locations are wheelchair 
 accessible. Hamilton Arts in the Park is presented by the Village of Hamil
 ton and co-presented by the Earlville Opera House. The Village of Hamilton
  is grateful for funds from the Decentralization Program\, a regrant progr
 am of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor 
 Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Ar
