X-WR-CALDESC:The Earlville Opera House is thrilled to kick off their 2017 e
xhibition cycle with 'Color Against the Snow'\, three stunning and eclecti
c shows featuring Penny Santy of Syracuse\, Jon Iannitti of Hamilton\, and
the beloved Annual KidsART Exhibition featuring the work of students K-6
 from area schools.\n\nIn the East Gallery\, Santy's Connect-Disconnect exp
lores themes of determination and power through her abstracted representat
ions of bulls and cows\, often symbols of strength. With A Manhattan Stret
ch-Warp Experience (Arts Cafe Gallery) Iannitti presents an energetic\, di
storted landscape\, 'a vibrating swirl of social commentary\, humor and fa
ntasy.' Using vibrant colors and/or skewed perspectives\, the artists enga
ge and energize audiences\, inviting the view to challenge their perspecti
ve of surroundings.\n\nIn the West Gallery\, the Annual KidsART Exhibit fe
atures the amazing work of students from kindergarten through sixth grade.
Collaborating with art teachers from several elementary schools in Centra
l New York\, the exhibit celebrates the freedom of expression and incompar
able joy that comes so readily from young children. The exhibit typically
draws more than 600 people over the course of the show and is a unique opp
ortunity for children throughout the region to display their work in a pro
fessional gallery\, and for the community at large to see the fine quality
art these young people are capable of. The multi-media show features artw
ork from local elementary schools\, including Hamilton Central\, Sherburne
-Earlville\, Burton Street in Cazenovia\, Edward R. Andrews in Morrisville
-Eaton\, Perry Browne\, Gibson Primary and Norwich Middle Schools in Norwi
ch\, Unadilla Valley and New Life Christian in Hamilton.\n\nOpening recept

refreshments. All three exhibits will run through March 11. Gallery hours
  are 10-5 Tuesday-Friday and 12-3 Saturdays. Admission is free\, and the E
