 gorsky will perform for the Phelps Museum’s Chamber Concert Series.\n\nCol
 in Benn has been the resident violist of Music Haven and the Haven String 
 Quartet since 2009. In addition to teaching viola\, violin\, and bass\, Co
 lin has performed and given talks with the Haven String Quartet throughout
  New Haven\, including at the International Festival of Arts & Ideas\, as 
 well as the Yale University Art Gallery. Before moving to New Haven\, he p
 erformed in orchestras throughout New York\, Italy\, and South America. Co
 lin received his Bachelor’s in Music from the Julliard School where he stu
 died with Toby Appel. He is a candidate for a Master’s Degree at Longy Sch
 ool of Music of Bard College.\n\nHailed by the Boston Globe as an artist w
 ho\, “…beautifully merges the worlds of serious jazz and pop\,” Misha Piat
 igorsky’s blend of powerful melodies with an unusual harmonic sensitivity 
 gives his sound a deeply personal yet cosmopolitan dimension. His music re
 flects his experiences as a Russian-Jewish émigré growing up in urban Amer
 ica. The great nephew of legendary cellist Gregor Piatigorsky\, with inter
 national upbringing followed by international acclaim\, he works in New Yo
 rk City to advance the modern jazz sound beyond the standards.\n\nAdmissio
 n is $15 for the general public\, $10 for museum members\, and $5 for chil
 dren and students with I.D. Children under 13 are free. Tickets can be pur
