Come learn techniques and sound building practices for building an energy efficient, earth friendly Straw bale house. The 7-day intensive workshop will take place September 1 to September 7, 2008 at Berry Hill Gardens. Andrew Morison, licensed contractor specializing in straw bale and green construction, will lead the workshop.
This workshop will take the participants step by step through the process of building a straw bale cottage roughly 400 square feet in size. Andrew will cover all of the information you need to build your own cottage and ultimately: your own house! The workshop is limited to 20 participants so sign up soon to reserve your space. The workshop will be educational and fun, and you will leave with a new knowledge of how to build with bales. To sign up, please visit www.StrawBaleWorkshops.com. The workshop fee is $750.00.
For lodging you can set up a tent on the grounds at no additional cost. A portable toilet will be provided. Or enjoy your experience more and book a room with comfy bed and private bath at the B&B. We are offering special rates for strawbale workshop participants. The room rate is $650 for single occupancy and $800 for double occupancy. Please register first for the workshop and then call us to register for the special B&B rates. We require a $200 non-refundable deposit when you book your room. The balance is due 30 days before the workshop date. Please book early, as rooms are limited. |
